i am confused with all that additional downloads. i heard there are factions (mods) like science, indians etc. where i can download that factions (mods)?

You can get the indians from http://http://www.titusgames.de. For the other ones search around the forum for a download link.

They aren't uploaded on glest.eurion.net/files because they are beta's and huge files.

i downloaded science faction. it is... weird. mixed tech with something new looks... weird, but good. :)

The 'something new' is actually something very old. Almost all of the buildings are the buildings from glest version 0.76.

I got the idea from the neat castle model on the homepage. (thats one of the old ones)
