How to save in Glest 2.0 (Ubuntu)

Hi,
I'm running Glest 2.0 on Ubuntu Feisty (thanks to GetDeb.net).  But I haven't found out how to save.  I know there is a savegame patch floating around, but it's only for 1.*.  Plus, I don't think the link works anymore.  Is there anyway to save in 2.0?  Thanks!

no there arent save game in any (current) 2.x.x. version.

there is a new version with scenarios
(kind of like saved games)

no, the scenarios are premade games.
