Help - Nothing being shown
« on: 14 July 2007, 23:34:03 »
Hi,

I'm having some problems with Glest. I installed it with the .deb file i found on the ubuntu website. double clicked it and it ran the package installer and thats all done fine. I go to run the program, navigate my way through the menus and start a game. It loads fine but then all i can see is Grey. I can select units if i drag the cursor over an area but i can't see anything. the map still shows and if i press escape the menu pops up but its almost like the models and textures haven't been rendered. any ideas?

Thanks

Ste

Did you search the forum or look at the Wikia? I think this has been solved before.

In the menu, go to options, and change the shadows option, to either off or the other one that is available. If it isn't that, it'll be one of the options in there. I also run ubuntu and I also had this problem.
