Glest current status

Are any development is doing now? If it does, what are next features?
Or development is frozen and only fan-patches are making?
SVN version is still 04. Are there no changes since 2007-03-04?
Or may be I use wrong command?
Code: [Select]
svn co https://glest.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/glest/trunk glest

Multiplayer and other stuff is being implemented in Glevolution (a fork).

Your command is right, it checks the newest development version out. Afterwards you would do a
Code: [Select]
svn update

to get new changes.

Since there is no active development going on some forked glest and named it glevolution. If you're interested you might like to join #glest in the freenode irc network - at least two of their dev's hang out there in the last time :)

Are there any hopes that development of original Glest will be continued?
Or Glevolution is our last and only hope?

And what is the current status of glevolution?
 Is multiplayer  fully embedded?

Regarding to RainCT there will be "minor updates" but nothing big for glest.

Glest wasn't coded with multiplayer in mind. For me it looks like there is some refactoring needed to do it. Its not a simple task BUT there actually IS some work going on. So right now glevoution is more active developed than glest so my hopes go there.

You might like to join #glest on freenode. Beside me RainCT and pidhash hang out there some time. pidhash as maintainer of glevolution knows more than I can tell you.
