Making/Converting Model Files for Glest

Well a random question: Is it possible to convert .mdl and .mdx models to .g3d? Is it possible to create a .g3d model with just vertex data? I'm assuming not, because when I tried opening a .g3d in notepad, I got a ton of ascii giberish (or perhaps it was unicode giberish, I can't tell the difference)

G3D is a binary format, so you can't open it with notepad. The only way of creating G3D files is exporting them from 3dsmax using the G3D export plugin included in the editor pack. To view them use the G3D viewer also included.
