Save game hack?

I was curious, I found the save game hacks off of Glest: Evolution. But where do you install it? Does it work?

BTW, I'm not a computer noob, the glest structure is unknown to me, lol. Also, a readme SHOULD always be included, for this exact reason.  **cough** modders, etc...

I am making save game patch. It doesn't save yet: unit commands and explored areas
