OMG, it's an army of nut-crackers. Seriously, jk, but they do look like that in 1 of the photos.

Those are pretty good models of people. I like, but Civil War? Eh, I'll pass. Go for it, I say, but IDK if civil war games are popular or not. I'm gonna try to clone "Conquest: Frontier Wars" for a mod. Well I hope yours turns out to be good.

it's not civil war, it's Nepolionic war..  actually based on the battle of Waterloo and I have most of the characters.  I have, and can do better as far as characters but the limits in glest don't allow for glsl shaders so I don't imagine that anyone can do a lot better for characters.

I do wish there was a way to do proximity reaction but I am not a programmer.  I have way more for buildings and such for this mod, but as I said, it's just playing around I am not seriously trying to do anything..

WOW, you are good !!!
How long did it take you? Max or Blender? (as you talk about shaders, maybe max more likely).
/// recruiting part :lol:
OK, just giving a try,we could need some help.
The viking mod is based here:
Code: [Select]
https://docs.megaglest.org/Vikings  everyone can post there
You can contribute whatever you want, a complete unit or just a mesh, you can stop whenever you want.

They look really good.

Can you expand on your proximity reaction idea? Perhaps in a new thread if you think there will be lots of discussion.

...Wow... That's amazing. Is it a full mod with buildings and a techtree and everything or just those units? Either way, make a page about it on the wiki so it can be expanded!

BTW: This would be awesome to play with against the Indian faction!

They look very good - are you planning to distribute these under an open source license?

I think that because glest is GPL'd, all mods must also be released under the GPL...

I usually release all of my artwork under the  creative commons license.

BTW I used blender to create all of this, and will have the .blend files along with the full mod up when I have a few minutes to set up a site for it.

Also yes there are buildings and sound files specifically for the mod.  There are still a few missing things but the basic two teams French and British including cannon crews and cavalry are there.

Right now it is set up as a new tech Napoleonic,  but i also have some new icons and actually a new start screen and music to go with it so that it could potentially be a whole new game.  The thing is that I am not a programmer so I cannot make the changes I would need to make a new game out of it.

Make a list with descriptions and I'll let you know if I can do anything.

This is awesome, but where are the files? I mean, you could just upload the models and textures. XML files can be created fairly easily and quickly, the only thing is it's all about good models and textures. Use something like fileden.com, or fsphost.com which has a single step signup with no hassle. I'd love to have these files. Or, you can send it to me. (encoish-^-gmail.com) I'll host it on my site.
