3ds max 8 question
« on: 22 August 2007, 19:02:26 »
Alright, i'm using 3ds max 8. I have a model and a texture that view perfectly in the G3D viewer. But the texture file keeps getting output as "texture_Map #0" from 3ds max. Anybody know how to change that? I don't want the file name screwing up anyone. Thanks.

Glest just looks for a file name.  So open your texture up with you favorite editor, photoshop whatever and then save in as an uncompressed TGA image and then rename it whatever you have set in the XML for your character.

You got it working with 3DS Max 8?
is it a different plugin?

Well yeah. I'm using the max 7 plug-in in the glest tool-kit v1.4. I was forgetting to go into the Material Editor, then changing the name of the texture listed under the "maps" section. That's what the problem was.
