Hiya all. I am Aditya. I donloaded Glest a few days back and I tried some stuff in photoshop...I changed the textures of some of my units have a look.

Hmmm... They look cool, but i think you probably blacked over the alpha texture (red, green, blue, or yellow), so there's now way to tell what team they're on...
But if you changed the alpha texture of a faction (like the red player one) then that would be even more awesome!
BTW I think it is possible to change the alpha texture without coding, just find the solid red (or other color) tiff in the glest directory...

You are right. The thing that is present in all the models (units) of Glest are the belts or in Daemon's and Dragon's case their skin color ... i will change the belts so that it is easy to recoganize.

Thats right ! I am busy really busy...that is why i will be releasing it next week. And also I will be making some changes in it...instead of the belt i will be making changes in their slevees...it does look good though...and what do you want me to put up ? just the .tga files because that will be easier for you to download (few kbs)..all you need to have is the .tga files and replace these ones with the new ones...if you dont know just ask me or some one else how to change the .tga file to the new ones to the old ones...i amjust to lazy and tired to write it ...

I am really sorry for not replying to this...I totally forgot about this...and to make it up for that I am re-texturing every thing in magic faction(of V3) to have a darker look.

And I hope to do it rather quickely (and not forget about it

I think it is more like re-colouring them to black and glod rather than re-texturing..so as "re-texing" is the wrong word...i would say re-colours of the original models...
