happypenguin.com had an update for it, I looked at the screenshot and AoE nostalgia flooded me. I immediately downloaded the game.

I think I heard about Glest ages ago, but didn't download it because it was windows only at that point, but I think I can more fairly attribute my knowing about it to
Code: [Select]
http://www.happypenguin.org.  Thanks Glest team for the awsome game (and MatzeB for the linux port).

I bought an old version of it in a magazine here in Brasil. The game didn't work with my video board, but I looked at the site and found a new version that worked. :P

Hello Everyone,

I Was looking for a 3d engine for the new version of magiknights (current one is magiknights 2d rpg) and just kinda surfed around and kinda fell here. Downloading the game it is perfect for what i am looking for. I envisioned magiknights '3d' like this, i also play a game called soul blighter and wanted a similar view.

Anyway now downloading the source and looking at the potential.

Regards

hi,

firstly i heard in the Chip magazine (the v0.7.1 was in the CD when i hadn't got internet) secondly (when i had net) on the PC Guru online (if you don't understand me very wise, sorry, but im not english). on the 071 i defeated easily 3 computer players (they were very idiots, but its now too. the AI is very poor.) a question: when will the multiplayer relased?

I learned about Glest at the Happy Penguin site. I'm glad that open source games start to become serious alternatives to commercial titles. Great job, guys. :)
