Custom Interface
« on: 1 September 2007, 04:44:56 »
Yeah, I'm new and I didn't see any Intro forum.

Any way to create a custom interface or atleast change the color of the interface text? It's so hard to navigate around.

Well, a lot of things can be changed around, such as the menu background and the font, not sure about the color though...

If you're using windows (I assume you are b/c you're not in the linux forum) open the "configurator.exe" in the glest directory, go to the "misc" tab and change the fonts listed...

Well, I know how to change the font, and yeah, I am using Windows. I just don't know how to change the interface at all. Thin white letters get confusing.

This is so silly that it isn't easier to change the font size & color. You'd think that it would be in the configurator. It looks like that stuff is hard-wired into the game engine. Good Luck...   Or wait for martino to respond.

I kinda figured that out. Switching a few images won't be too hard. If I could figure out some layering, I could probably add a UI or a menu background.

Actually, after reading about some posts about compilation. I just might be able to create a full interface. :]
