Glest 2.0.1 Released
« on: 1 September 2007, 17:16:50 »
Hello,

We've uploaded 2.0.1. This version is pretty much the same as 2.1rc1.

New features:

- Scenarios: They are preset configurations for maps.
- More stats: Added more stats in the battle end screen
- Improved ISO C++ compliance: Now Glest compiles in GCC 4.X

Martiño.

I was once mmaking a mod for this great game, but untill it gets a multiplayer function I don't think I'll actually do any serious modding. Please, please work on multiplayer options, Glest team!!

Thank's alot for the new release.
For me, Glest is the best RPG Game in linux.

I can compile and run glest-2.0.1 in Mandriva 2007.1

I hope, glest will be the best RPG Games , so keep developing it.

::) Not to be repetitive, but... any remote idea when multiplayer will be out? even over LAN?

Just asking. Are there any ideas about what's to be included in 3.0.0? New units, buildings, features?

Multiplayer over lan would be almost exactly the same code as over the web.

And, anyway, I haven't seen the glest code, but I would imagine that multiplayer could be "grafted" on by taking control of one "ai" with data sent over some generic connection.

Yeah but for multiplayer 2 races isnt that fun after a while. Maybe a new race for multiplay can be introduced :o . Like orcs or something.
