i need openGl 1.3 to play, it says when i start up the game where can i get this?

OpenGL can't be downloaded, It is part of the drivers for your graphics card. Update those, and if that doesn't work you should get a new card.

It is possible to tell glest not to check your opengl version at the startup, but you won't be able to play anyway, it will just load and crash.

You need to find out what make and model graphics card you have and go to the manufacturer's website. Driver updates will usually be in an area labeled downloads or support.

A Google search will yield informative results ;) .
