STARCRAFT MOD !
« on: 12 October 2007, 06:09:43 »
hi ..

i know there is (was?)  a project to port starcraft using warcraft3 engine ..  project revolution

www.wc3campaigns.net/revolution
http://www.blizzplanet.com/content/560/
http://mods.moddb.com/3704/project-revolution/

...  i think since the announcement of sc2 , pr developres become lazy ..  anyway it is constructed under a propietary war3 engine ...

...

but how about build a sc mod over glest engine ? :D  .. sounds a lot easier  and fun than use propietary war3 engine

.

Sounds like a great idea to me! Once I get some help with exporting models to xml and then to g3d I might be of some use. but for now I'm completely baffled.

Actually the Warcraft World Editor is about 30 times better than Glest's World Editor Warcraft's World Editor gives you tons of options on what to do and its very easy to export and import several data.

But the thing is you will need a lot of experience before you can get the full potential of the editor. I hope Glest will make an Editor same to Warcraft's.

I'm a experienced map maker in wc3 and it is better than Glest's editor , oh and AuraOfWind you need wc3's The Frozen Throne expansion to be able to import.
