A unit question
« on: 13 October 2007, 06:04:09 »
I was trying to fiddle around with some of the units' stats with Notepad, yet the changes aren't showing, why?

don't use notepad ;)
You'll never know what it does! Use Ultraedit or something else.

Why not use NotePad?
Ive used notepad and never had a problem!

Anyway,
Are you simply changing lets say the castle.xml then saving it as castle.xml again? Because you have to make sure its saved as castle.xml

Also your are not copying any units, then changing them are you?

notepad adds dos-line endings to the edited lines and cannot mangage non-dos "end of lines".
This is probably not a problem in glest, but other programs have problems with it ( windows programs ). So you better don't use notepad.

By the way, I think every other editor is more comfortable than notepad.
