thats what I meant.
If you want to take one and modify it you will have to use 3ds-max and use the models published by tucho.
But I think this is the best way to start:
Just change the textures(painting) of the models by modifying the .tga-files with a painting program like gimp (
www.gimp.org
).
(Hint: You have to save your .tga files without compression and the source down left to make them glest usable)
Most indians from the indian mod were made like this:
www.titusgames.de
You'll find the .tga-file in folders like: D:\Programme\Glest_2.0.0\techs\magitech\factions\magic\units\archmage\models\texture_archmage.tga

Yes, that's what I do, and why I learned how to use blender(a bit).
If you don't know it, you'll need a lot of time to get into it, but it's useful for a lot of games and 3d development.
