SST:LD 2 Release!

Hello!

SST:LD 2 is out! With new units, models, maps, props and much, much more. Units like tanks and commanders are now available, new models for the barracks and turrets, and new deffences to keep the bugs at bay, like turrets, mines and walls. 2 new maps and 2 new campains and props. All the bugs are gone (pun not inteaded). A linux version will be out by the end of the month and hopefully a Mac version as well.

Well I've been using it, and its pretty cool. One big new addition that I like is the tanks.

Now I have tested it ( in windows :-\ ).
I have one big problem with shots missing targets!
Sometimes(quite often) the tank or another unit doesn't hit the enemy?
You have to move the unit to get hits again.
Whats wrong here? does anybody else have this problem.

I played one scenario 7 times, but I always failed. This scenario is pretty hard to play, but it's fun and attractive.
After 7 games windows suddenly reboots!???, but I think this is a problem of my computer.
So ,we ( the bugs and me ) will see us on the linux battlefield soon ;) and then I will kick their asses!

Yeah, I got that shots missing issue too. Another thing I noticed is that if you order a unit to make a building, if glest says building can not be placed there, you still get charged the gold. I think that might be 3.0.0, because in Glest 2, you would get the money back.

I dont think your missing i played it and some units do next to nothing (like the bug worrier do only 4 damage to a plasma and missle tanks only do 4 to a soldier and such but a lot on building and that stuff) but i might be wrong.

anyway this is awsome.

Is anyone interested in the linux version of SST:LD2 ?
I send it to myles more than a month ago, but he didn't released it.
So here it is:

Unpack it to your glest installation directory. To play choose one of the sST-scenarios ( for example )

This one should work for linux and windows! It's really fun to play, so don't miss it!!
