Call to ALL TRANSLATORS: Need info

Started by RainCT, 30 November 2007, 21:11:00

RainCT

Hey,

I would be great if all who have translated Glest could reply to this thread providing the following information: into which language they have translated Glest, their full name, their email, and a statement saying that they agree for it to be distributed under the GNU General Public License (version 2 or later). If the translation isn't on http://glest.eurion.net please also tell me the URL to it.

If you don't want to post this here you can contact me on glest[at]eurion[dot]net, but I'd prefer if you do on this thread since this way it's publicly visible that you agree putting it under the GPL license.

Why I am asking for this?
Well, because I'm planning to put all community contributed translations together, package them, and get them into Ubuntu's and Debian's repositories, were a Glest package (created by eddyp if I remember correctly) is already available.

Update: Several language files are now included in glest-data.

Thanks!

Hi,

I have just done a new translation for French Glest V 3.00-Alpha 4

I sent it by e-mail (contact (at) glest.org.

And no problem for GPL license, with pleasure.

There is one, http://glest.eurion.net/files/langs/deutsch.lng, but it's for version 2.0 and none of the authors has given his agreement to release it under the GPL yet, so if you could create an alternative one that I can include in the package that would be great.

Cool. Can you please send me the greek.lng file encoded as UTF-8? I can't open it right (Well, or at least I guess this «Ç ìïíÜäá ðñïóôÝèçêå óôç óåéñÜ ðáñáãùãÞò» is not what it should look like).

Nop its not looks like this :)
The file is encoded as iso-8859-7 and you need windows configured to show Greek fonts for programs that do not support Unicode
However here is the file encoded as UTF8 as u wish.
I think that is grate if sometime Glest support UTF8

Thank's
Panagiotis

I had to use "latinisation" of the Polish alphabet. Please, introduce UNICODE or UTF8 support to the next version of the game.
