Favourite multiplayer map
« on: 1 February 2008, 17:22:14 »
Hi,

With the release of Glest multiplayer, we realized that some of the maps, which were good for offline play, are not that good to play against other Human controlled factions. The point of this thread is to get everyone's thoughts about the current maps.

my absolute favorite is:
conflict.gbm

I played it a minimum of 50 times now and it always ends up in nice fights!
especially for coop 2 ( 2 player vs cpu ) its the best I know.
Try Megaglest! Improved Engine / New factions / New tilesets / New maps / New scenarios

The reason I like "Forest Lands" so much is that, as long as your video card can support it, you can easily get into the late game and the CPUs always get absolutely HUGE armies that puts a huge emphasis on your defence.  Also there are tons of resources scattered about the map as well as a giant oasis of resources aproximately in the middle of the map.  This will support your army for the rest of the game easily.  Also there is a great river system; the only downside is that you can hear when the enemy is coming!

I've got a great multiplayer map that i'd like for you guys to consider adding to the list.  I've made maps for many years now started playing RTS back in 98' Ive got alot of experience helping/watching RTS Games develop threw the years.  If you guys are interested let me know.  (I've already gave to a couple people that I saw on IRC and so far everyones loved it)

Please make a Glest map!  We love new maps, and you can download the map editor here.
