Alien Invasion Official Mod - First screens

Hi people, I am working on a new tech tree for Glest with two factions: humans and invaders, units are specially oriented to multiplayer game. Here are the first W.I.P. images of this mod:

The theme seems quite similar to SST:LS

Humans and bugs

This looks really interesting. I like the cartoony style, its an original idea and different from other mods for glest.

Your artwork is fantastic  ;) I especially like the alien with it's head exploding and the alien battlesuit.

Keep up the good work I look forward to playing it in the future!

Hehehe, Really Cute,
Funny I was just about to start a very similar project, youve managed to go right exactly where SST:LD went wrong, SST:LD tried to be realistic while the Glest engine cant really be realistic.

The thing I love the most is the trees :D

at first moment I though that you created mod from UFO:Alien Invasion resources (UFOAI is also Open Source game, inspired by UFO Enemy Unknown series of X-COM)

the human faction in SST is quite realistic and they fight very well. I tweaked the xml fils of them and now rhey can beat indian and magic faction

Probably when the tileset is finished we use this models for the magitech techtree tilesets too.

I don't know for the moment, it depends of the package size I guess

I only can work in this mod from time to time, for this reason probably I take some months for finished it. Anyway I hope upload a beta version (no final art) soon, at least of the human faction.

no prob, i look forward to the release but mostly, a beta or even a pre-beta would be nice even if its just one faction cus this has gotta be good if the glest team is doin it.

Wait your the only one working on this???  Or is the whole glest team helping out???

One thing, in the last screen, there is tank that seems to be without detail or i think its called texture.  

And in the second to last screen, the helecopters are blue.  

Is it suppose to be like that???

Tripods are everywhere, PC Zone even had a small box dedicated to how tripods are everywhere when they reviewed CC3

Yeah that's pretty much what it is, only that this won't hold a camera but a cockpit.

Oooooh, that would be really cool, i saw something like that in the glest life video, unfortunately, its inactive and they didnt even give out a beta so other people could do it...

yes it was the half life 2 mod. i dont think it is a good idea. i like the tripods but then you add a tripod everyone will say that they stolen the idea from half life. its just my opinion
