UPDATE: it's the official binary now!!
--------
Does this binary package work for all? Please test it, when it is good it will be the official one. ( the editor is included too )
http://www.titusgames.de/glest_3.1.1_linux.tar.gz
( this is linux_x86_32 bit only!!! )
( note: if you want to install glest download and install the datapackage first:
http://downloads.sourceforge.net/glest/ ... g_mirror=0

System is Debian Etch. Kernel 2.6.24-stable.
glest 3.1 Binary Version, installed as User markus.
Execution of glest in Konsole doesn't work with or without any Argument.
markus@feld-bertlap:~$ whereis glest
glest: /usr/local/bin/glest /usr/local/games/glest3.1 /usr/local/games/glest
and
markus@feld-bertlap:~$ ls -l /usr/local/bin/glest
lrwxrwxrwx 1 markus staff 32 2008-02-19 21:36 /usr/local/bin/glest -> /usr/local/games/glest3.1//glest
when i execute "/usr/local/games/glest3.1//glest" directly it works.

We released yesterday an loki installer for glest 3.1.1 with our own binarys for x86 and x86_64, do we have to replace the binary for x86 or is this problem fixed with the new glest release? Where i can find the changelog for 3.1.1?

well, if you don't replace it, people who use Loki installer can only play online with people who use Loki installer as well.

Yes, it's like duke says, so please replace it.
( The official binary is much smaller this time. Compiled without -g and stripped . Compiled on Ubuntu 6.06 with glibc 2.3.6)
