The name is blocked because of the number, don't now why.

Look like you have OpenGl version 1.2, but the actual one would be 2.1, try updating your driver.

You need OpenGL 1.4 or OpenGL 1.3 and the env_crossbar extension to play Glest. We don't do this for the sake of it, the extension is needed for the team colors, however you might be able to go to glest.ini change CheckGlCaps to 0, and be able to play the game with some graphical glitches.

OpenGL driver?
I updated my version of Glest and now it won't work because it says my OpenGL version is not compatible.
I have been searching opengl.org, but there's a lot of stuff there, I have no idea what I'm supposed to download, update or whatever...

Can someone give me some specific instructions?

Thanks!

It comes in the drivers, you don't download OpenGL by itself.

It says VIA S3g Unichrome Pro IGP, and the monitor just says Plug and Play Monitor.
The message I get is:
"Your system supports OpenGL version "1.2"
Glest nedds at least version 1.3 to work
You may solve this problem by installing your latest video card drivers"

I did try Window's driver update but it still doesn't work... any ideas?

That is an AGP card so is probably too old if you're using the original driver.
And it is rare that the Windows driver update actually helps.

I found this by just typing the card into google:
http://http://www.codedworld.com/download/via-s3g-unichrome-pro-igp/32270.html
There you can download a driver dated seb07, that should work.

All linux 32 bit:

I have/had lots of different setups:

Geforce AGP-6600GT works perfect with all features possible in linux yet.( athlon 64 3400+ )
Geforce AGP-4200GT works perfect with all features possible in linux yet.( athlon 64 3000+ )

Geforce PCIE-7600GS works perfect with all features possible in linux yet.( athlon x2 4200 )
Geforce PCIE-8600GT works perfect with all features possible in linux yet.( athlon x2 4600 )

Geforce Onboard 7050 works perfect with all features possible in linux yet !!!!!!! ( athlon x2 4600 )
Geforce Onboard 6100 works, but only runs well when you switch off 3d textures. So not all features and a bit slow.
