Having issues running Glest 3.1.2 under Debian Etch
« on: 12 March 2008, 23:17:41 »
So I downloaded the binaries from here today and first unpacked the data file and then the glest game files into the data files directory. I had to install the libxerces27 but then I was able to finally launch the game.

I am able to see the intro graphics and eventually get to the menu to choose the game etc. I hear music and everything seems to be just fine.

Then I enter a game either with New Game or Scenarios and after it creates the map, I get nothing but a light grey screen with a miniture map in the upper left corner.

Any ideas of what I can do to solve the issue? I would be glad to provide additional information if it is helpful, but I am not sure what you might need yet.

Thanks,
-Eric

I had the same issue, solved it by changing shadow type I think.

Thanks for the reply...I just tried the three different settings, Projected, Shadow Mapping and Disabled and I still get the same issues.

Any other thoughts?
