If you play Glest using the IRC to set up games, vote in the poll. I just wanna see how many people play multiplayer glest and how many people just play 1 player. Please only vote once. And please post so I know who you are.
 :D

1. Go on google and search "IceChat"
2. Download and open it.
3. Click on the "Favorite Channels" tab.
4. Click on "Add"
5. Type in "glest" and press ok
6. Now that glest is in your list, click on it and click "Join"
7. Change your name on the channel by typing in /nick _______ The ______ is where you type your name
8. WOOT, YOUR IN!!!

Nice Rishen. Just so you know, about 40% of the people who play glest, use the irc.

What software do most people use to play multiplayer glest? I don't think it is the IRC anymore since no one is on it nowadays.

i think it's still IRC, but no one is on at the time another one is. And that other person doesnt see anyone on so he just leaves. Martin needs to advertise Glest more so we'd have more players.

Even though more than 40% of the people play multiplayer, most of them don't even use the irc (or any kind of client).

PS: we need to find a way to get Glest famous

I've been trying to advertise it on Wetpaint and free web wikis like that, but appartently it's not working, this sucks  :( . how are the Wesnoth people able to get so much players and stuff when Glest is about 100 times better than that crappy game?

on this board. I'd say a fair few people already know about Glest. And I found Wesnoth quite a professionally polished sort of game. I'm not usually into turn based games but I thought it was quite well done. Could be good to get with friends and have a multiplayer game instead of relying on the IRC.

I never played the multiplayer of wesnoth but I still reckon it would be better to get with friends and play rather than relying on the irc, maybe its just me.
