Unexpected Exception
« on: 23 March 2008, 22:26:02 »
At random points in the game, it will crash and show a pop-up that says Unexpected Exception or something like that on the title bar and in the window it says "Failed to Lock Direct Sound Buffer." I'm running Version 3.1.2 on Windows XP. Any help would be appreciated.

EDIT:

Sorry, but I looked for a bit and ended up solving my problem. For anyone else who is looking to solve this issue:

- Click on your start menu.
- Select "run"
- Type in "DxDiag"
- This will bring up a DirectX/DirectSound configuration box.
- Go to tabs "Sound 1" and "Sound 2" and set acceleration to Basic.
