You model looks cool, hopefully it will get an awesome skin to finish it off.

To give better crits on the model it would be helpful to see a blender shot with wire views from different angles.

Hi guys :)

I found some time to continue... plz tell me how you like the texture. Next step is animating, skeleton and rigging is already complete.
I called this thread "mod" at first but i wont be able to finish a full faction so, if someone wants the model for his mod i can post it here.

Hi weedkiller!

Will the persian mod be the a persion faction? ( I hope so )
Some ideas for a persion faction:
- flying carpets!!
- A snake charmer with a basket and attacking snakes ( similar to beehives )
- probabaly a genie in a bottle
- a nice indian lady attacking with a hidden knife

I am on holiday for the next 4 weeks, but when I'm back I will help you with it, or create a new tileset "indian" with date palms ...

hi titi,
well, it will be a faction if i get enough modells done, xml making should be not too hard if i just copy a existing faction (so if i just replace the tech modells and use its "slots"). Of course it can be improved afterwards...

Your ideas sound very unique/individual, thats great. I was inspitated(?word) by zaggydads elephant, so if i use it again (will ask him) we would alredy have enough for a techtree as i want to keep it simple but with quality (ok, as much quality i can make 8)

don't worry about the xmls. If you get enough models (min 12, but you can recycle some from other factions) then post it here and I'll make the xmls (no sound, you can do that yourself)

Heh, pretty good. Although I have my doubt about purple shields :). Probably due to a local stand-up comedian, who came up with his own jedis who beat each other with glowy purses.

hi guys, i need some help with the princess model... i got a face done but i dont get it really lowpoly, it already has about 200 faces (just the head with hear). So if you could have a look, thanks.

@Nihilirian you mean his clothes around the legs? shell i upload the modell so you can improve it?

I could animate the models for you, if you want. And you are allowed to use my elephant, (you textured it, anyway)although I'm probably going to finish the animations on it first. The death animation has no movement in the archer at all.

hi zaggy, yes i would appreciate(?) you give a try at animating, i suck... its supposed to be an princess but it just moves to rogh when i try  :O

thanks for the elephant, that was the thing which made me start with this.

i upload the current version that is rigged and modelled. texturing is still missing.

i think i got the facecout right now. just 600 faces when i see right so nothing to worry...

ok, i worked more on the texture. Everything is handdrawn exept the face. I am still not really happy with it but i cant get it nicer  :confused:

Maybe you could tell us what unit ideas you still need; then I or somebody else could help you and you could get a visual tech tree out sooner.

Nice! You might want remake the archer's clothing, though. Did you keep my elephant animations? Btw, you may think that elephants go slower than humans, but they actually go something like 10 mph faster.

Good that you say it was you who made it!
I dind't remember who it was.  I hope I can use it for this mod ( with credits of course )?
For the animations: Most of them are changed, but walking was really good, its the original animation.
The archer is the techs archer with a bit changed clothing and a turban on his head.  
The elephant is a bit smaller now and it works with a size of 2. This is much better for gameplay, because now he finds a way to walk!
The archers attack is for airattack, the ground attack is made by the elephant (thats the current plan).

By the way, the fakir looks really funny when slamming enemies with his bed of nails :).
