What's next? : Scripting
« on: 6 May 2008, 19:12:53 »
Hello,

If you wonder what will be next in Glest, we are currently working on implementing LUA scripting for scenarios, we aim to build tutorials and other scripted maps for the game. There is already some stuff in the svn, but it is all pretty much work in progress.

Sweet!

Will You add campaign mode too? If yes, will it be related to the background given on the main page?

Great! These are the things that are really missing in glest.
Beginners are usually frustrated because they always loose when they start playing glest.
If they get a tutorial and scenarious which will show them how to play the game, we will hopefully get much more glest players!

Try Megaglest! Improved Engine / New factions / New tilesets / New maps / New scenarios

Lol, tell me about it. I have to get a ally just to win... But I'm starting to understand how to play magic so, maybe I'll be able to play by myself soon.

There should be more levels of CPUs (not just normal and ultra).
An "easy" level, perhaps, that harvests at 1/2 rate (and a bit of a dumbed down AI) ?

Also, i have some great campaign ideas, where should i mention these?

PS: Hi everyone! long time no see
