Experienced MOD needed for blender help!
« on: 27 June 2008, 08:43:35 »
I just downloaded blaster and have NO clue how to use it. I wouldn't mind doing simple things like inverting the colours even of the 3-D modules. But then again, how do I even save the blender stuff to .3DS???

Plz help! I have dial-up internet, so if u got a different type of program to recomend, please ensure it's less than 10MB...

I don't know blaster??
To change model textures(colors) I think most of us use gimp(www.gimp.org) to edit the .tga files. ( it's a painting program )
The download is 17MB, but probably you can get it from someone else with a better connection.
And there is really no need to handle with .3ds files to do this!

hint for gimp:
When saving as tga you must uncheck the "compressed" box when saving.
Glest only supports uncompressed tgas.
( To be shure use "save as" not "save" to save a .tga file )

I guess I can try that, I mean, right now I got desperate and am downloading GMAX. Jeeze, 18.8MB = 1hr 44min (ouch!) :wicked: [Well, when I used to have modem, once I downloaded an ~700MB file... - @kukac@]

I don't see why you are posting in other people's posts again @kukac@. :-X [The reason is because I only have a note, that does not worth a new post. - @kukac@] Quote the other person's post and put your text in if you must have their text in the same post.

On to the topic. I used to have dialup and would spend that long if not longer downloading files so I don't think that is too bad.

If you want something smaller there is Paint.net which is 1.6mb unless you need to download the .net Framework 2.
