0.9.1 - More testing required to look for bugs. Need model for the elements (fire, blood, death, chaos, holy)
0.8.0- bishops attack downscaled. Decreased necromancers spawn speed and added a magic attack for them. Fixed colours of projectiles. Increased spawn rate of lords.
0.7.2 - Played some games, fixed some bugs.
0.5.2 - Hellfire faction complete. Some models are temporary.
0.4.0 - Hellfire faction started. XMLS for some units and models created.
0.3.1 - church faction complete. Some models are temporary
0.3.0 - Doing lots of work... Still can use models
0.2.3 - XMLs created for some units. Models made, but most are temporary.
0.1.0 - Gathered ideas. Need help making models

Also, I now have

~altar - source of prayer (the equilivent of energy)

~Bishop - A strong spell caster (yes, he has godspells)

~Unknown One - I dont know what this is, some terrifying god I think.

~warrior of light - a medium strength warrior that has a few simple spells

~chapel - the main building which spawns a few of the units

~paladin (former name:heavens guard) a powerful unit cloaked in holy armor.


BTW, I have to introduce the fact that this is going to form its own tech tree. The tech tree will include another faction called Hellfire. There will be some new armor/attack types (holy, shadow, etc;) and new resources (prayer and herbs) A tileset will also be introduced with this.

Hopefully everyone can enjoy either playing as the good guys (holy) or the baddies (shadow & undead)

Oh, and I should mention for the shadow guys, I have made a necromancers tower and successfully got it to work!

IMO you should make all the models from scratch - not make it look like a simply redesigned tech units and magic buildings faction.

I have no experience in animating or 3D model making. However, if you have some skill, any help is apreciated. On the bright side, the elements (holy for the church faction, blood, death, fire & chaos for the hellfire) are all going to be custom made.

IMPORTANT!!!

Need a simple sphere (don't ask why) that is as roughly the size of an airship in height. It needs to come with a tga texture (though I dont need any colour or detail) You WILL receive credit and I can imagine that it is not too hard of a project.

I cant figure out how to get the export script working in blender, so thats why I need it!

And finally, we have a semi-finished version of the church faction. I have picture, but do bear in mind that the models are incomplete, I can always use new models for units. I'll give a list of all the units in a different topic.

Ok, it is getting closer to being ready for release. However, I still need a sphere and a matching TGA file for the elements. There is no way for me to release the tech tree until then.

Ok, I have now made a pdf for all the units, and the models are mostly done. Check back a little later for the pdf!

As a christian I am offened at non christians thinking they know anything about us and to make things up to poke fun at people who do know Christ or at least trying to know him is wrong. You liberals don't want us christians to say anything bad about you but you don't give the same you joke about and poke fun at Christians and churches by making these stupid faction base on something you know little about

Sounds like my god will kick your god's ass. Using strong "signs" such as religion is a tricky thing. In this case nobody cares, except well one dood, but think carefully, especially if for example making Muslim faction. Those guys fire up pretty easy at everyone that pokes at their religion.

I say, do the neutral thing - rename some of the Christianity reminding units that are just to the "light" side of the things. Remove pope....

I myself am a christian. I agree with M, but you gotta remember, this is just a game, and this topic is supposed to be dead. Check out the other one with the same name without the whole church theme. If you find your self not liking the ..um... unneutrality part no ones gonna force you to download this.

And M, what the h*** was that bit about you saying I lacked knownledge in this front?!? I've read the whole fricken' Bible and I understand the whole friggin' Revolution (thats the last part for those who now not what I mean!

you didn't read what i said very carefully i said most not all and i think most people who do these factions like the idea of poking fun at something while making it fun at the same time easiest way for Satain to get people not to take Christ seriously and view all as one big game joke

Most, yes, but not me. I never joke about religion. The church faction only has three units that can be defined from christianity (priest, bishop, pope) everything else is mythical. I put no actual mention of christ in the faction for that very reason.

I'm in no way attempting to make fun of religion. I wholeheartedly agree that some people may make fun of religion and not take things seriously, but those people do such things anyway. Religion appears everywhere, particlularily in movies. And due to what I've seen in many movies (most comedy) I am not overally worried about this faction. (Look at it this way, the FPM has monks in it, is that not degrading to religions with monks like budism or stuff?)

But by now, I think that compared to many stuff out there, this faction is fine. Why don't you go complain about gay movies? (Now thats a bible violation!)

don't get me started on gays. I believe what the bible says about them. I just hate to see anything make a joke or poke at salvation through Jesus Christ he is the way and the only way if you believe God to saved. If you do some research Christ is the only figure in history with no inconsitants in the story. The Roman records of the time are fragmented but what there are left goes by what the bible says all other religions can't make that clam

my advice is stick to fantacy factions not anything in this world and as far as holywood goes and the gays i do what i can by not watching the gay or any other garbage they come out with as far as this game goes up until lately it has been mostly ok want it to stay that way
