Welcome in Glest

1 you can convert 3d models in g3d format with 3d studio or blender

2 you need to animate them into 3ds or blender and then create the g3d animation

3 in the same way of units ... u create the 3d model of building and convert it

4 the attack must be made in the same way of waling ... animating it into 3dstudio or blender ( there are some movement files somewhere i know)

5 it's a long long work for each model but could be funny

Welcome ;)

1. to export from blender to g3d you need export scripts from this wiki
2. use timeline in blender
3. explore glest data folder how are the other units saved. copy their XML files and customize them (use text editor)

If you need, I have a number of good xml outlines that describe how to make the xmls.

To summarize,  Most of the user controlled true and false stuff is within XML scripts that run when the game acts upon it.  It's pretty simple to understand, just get the guidelines Omega posted up.

Don't worry about the graphics. Colour the TGAs with Photoshop or Paint.NET in whatever colours you want. This will directly change the model (make a copy of the faction for editing)

The outlines of mine are stickied in general discussion, use them to know what affects what.  :D
