Hi, I'm making a Wood Elf faction and i need some help with the models, i can't get the exporter working also i need to edit the main script can i do that? and i'm also looking for some ideas,

well bowmen and swordsmen would be good and maybe a gryphon for one of the more powerful units and maybe a spearman too

gryphons a good idea but i want ideas for upgrade as well as buildings.
and is there a way to get god powers like in age of mythology.
how about making the workers gather faster can i do that?

well i now you can do that but i dont know if you can make it like turn on and off when you want without having to go and undo it in the files.


and for an upgrade wind runner makes all (or certain) units move a bit faster.
and for a building elven tree training house (like a tree house like building)
can pruduce hawks and eagles (air units) that do physical attacks.and it can produce a trainer that can summon hawks but is weak and has low armour.  just some suggestions

I was making an Elven faction too.
Feel free to steal ideas from my unit tree:


EDIT: I forgot Tree -> Wise Tree, Tree -> Fairy Tree and Tree -> Gryphon Nest are Morphs too.


Black              = Building
Drark Yellow = Unit
Purple            = Upgrade/Technology

The blue thing means that it was optional.

My idea was that elves have an alliance with the fairies. Fairies have the power to heal, increase strength and armor or decrease enemy strength and  armor. They could also have a weak magical atk.

In responds to your question, it is very easy to increase the workers mining/harvesting speed. Do it in the specific skill in the xml. If you do not know how, it may not be a good idea to make a faction. :-X

his question i think was if there was a way the make a god mode that could be turned off/on with a button on the menu screen rather then going through all the xml. files and changing them for off and on.

Unfortunately, I doubt they'd make such a thing. Try using the outlines I posted on the general discussion board. But if you want tot see it for that exact unit, look at the workers xml.

Description:
Elves are not a fighting race they want peace in the world, but just because they don’t like fighting doesn’t mean they can’t, when an elf needs to fight he will and will honorably. Mostly they have economic units and because they don’t fight they’re soldier are very expensive, and because of they’re skill are very strong, also all elves love living things and don’t harm trees and animals. The Elven Resources are Stone, Gold, Tree, Grace and Song.

the fifth Building is a building that provides other mythical creatures
like Centuars and Minitaurs (is that the correct spelling) one that more intelligent than creatures from the coral.

How do you like it. [Minotaurus? Anyway, I see the fifth now, just it didn't had a gap from the fourth. - @kukac@]

Minotaurs or minotaurus is correct. The other is Centaurs.
I like the idea, and the tech tree looks very well thought; it could give the game a whole different feel.

Hmm, I'm liking this.  Are the elves gonna be a Lord of the Ring's Japanese style, or is it gonna be like the Elderscroll Series, where they were more smaller and quicker.

I really like the idea, the only thing that might be considerable to change is the upgrades that make units attack for more damage and speed. Like the magic and tech factions, you might only want to make only 2-4 upgrades that only changes thing minorly, things like attack+10 or so, otherwise elve units would be overpowered compared to tech and magic. The mining speed upgrade should be considered as well....an upgrade like that would bring you a sure win later on in the game unless the tech and magic factions have it as well, the mining speed is a really good idea, it's just that if you are going to use it in the elves, the magic and tech factions would have to add it as well. Anyways, the project is good and well thought out, it just might need a few changes, good luck  :D  :D
