Do you think you guys would make a portable version of Glest to carry around on USB and that doesn't write to registry?

In theory it might be good. Could be a real pain to port, though.

DS Specs from wikipedia:
Quote
# CPUs: Two ARM processors, an ARM946E-S main CPU and ARM7TDMI co-processor at clock speeds of 67 MHz and 33 MHz respectively. The ARM946E-S CPU processes 3D rendering and the ARM7TDMI processes 2D rendering for DS games and Game boy Advance gameplay.
# RAM: 4 MB of Mobile RAM
# Voltage: 1.65 volts required
# Storage: 256 kB of Serial Flash Memory

People familiar with Transport Tycoon Deluxe might be interested to know there is a DS version of it. See

I mean a portable USB version of the game. For a better explanation of what I mean check out portableapps.com

I think it could prove to be very popular (Even more so then now) once their is a working load/save feature so that people could play the game during spare time on different machines

I copied glest to my usb drive and it works but is slow. There are no registry keys so it is portable to an extent.

Glest doesnt write to the registry... Unless you use the installer,
I can use Glest on my USB stick on any machine fine.

Glest DS is a bad idea. And it does work to put it on a USB stick, but I only have 1 computer, so I'm not 100% sure...
