I'm personally hoping that Martino will find out how the board crashed, and tell us, maybe we could then find a way to restore it. (and then again, maybe not, since things crash) Just a suggestion (not trying to sound accusing or rude) but we need to back up more often!

Sorry, that requires the SQL-file. I think it is broken, cause all the errors had to do with the SQL.
If you had it, mail to me. Maybe I could fix it. It's a great pity, I think every help is needed !

Here is an updated wyvern XML.  It gives the wyvern an extra move skill that he can use only if you have hellfire.

Download this file and unzip it.  Replace your old wyvern.xml with the new one and put the image in the images directory. [attachment=0:2sv27q7f]update1.zip[/attachment:2sv27q7f]

Thanks a lot.  But did you download the music?  Did you like it?  Oh, you must not have; mediafire says "0 downloads" next to both music files.  But you guys should seriously get them because you can replace the old Dark Magic music with this new music.  I personally think the old Dark Magic music is annoying.

Side Note: the helicopter in the tech tree does not refer to a 1940's helicoter, but a type of helicopter designed by Leonardo da Vinci.  This is what i looks like:

Sorry for the double-post, but this is kind of important.  This download will allow you to build Witches without the Cauldren upgrade; however Cauldren will make your Witches far more powerful.  You still will need the Cauldren upgrade to conjure a Flying Witch.

Download this file, then replace each XML file in your Dark Magic directory with those in the newly downloaded ones.  For instance the witch.xml is in dark_magic-->units-->witch.  So then you would replace the old witch.xml with the new witch.xml; now you've updated the faction.  Congrats!

Alright.  This is what I plan to do to to finish Dark Magic and how I plan to do it.

as with the releases:

3.0 will be a first release with all of the TGAs done as well as the sounds.  The last image of the Apprentice (you probably didn't notice that it wasn't done; nobody that downloaded the latest version has commented) will be done by then.

4.0 models of the buildings will be done as well as their corosponding TGAs.  Probably won't have any animations, since I can't figure out Titi's videos (no offence).

5.0 will be the last full release.  I guess I reserve the right to make some minor patches, but that'll be pretty much it.  I hope by then someone else has figured out if the faction is balanced besides me.  (I try to stay unbiased, but I can only do so much)  As it stands right now, Tech CPU can still beat Dark Magic CPU on a 64 by 64 map.

In conclusion, I hope I can release a new full release each month, with 5.0 coming in early January (a full 6 months after I started the concept tech trees.  I could post some of the earlier ones if you guys would like...), but that all dependes on how well I learn and how many donations I get.

Ok, the new beta, 3.0 comes out probably in 2 weeks, by the end of first quarter in school.  The reason for the delay: school.  Got tons of homework, plus my stupid jump drive scrambled up all my sounds, so I have to pretty much start from scratch on that.  Beta 3.0 will have all new textures on the units I'm going to salvage from Magic and Tech, and also new sounds.  There will also be a seperate download for a corosponding superweapon.  (http://http://glest.org/glest_board/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=3832)

Great work Gameboy!!!  It's great, except could you make the body maybe 1/3 thicker?  Also, I see that you've made its body into segments; could you maybe make more of these so that it looks more natural?  But in all, great work!

PS how did you like my Orc tech tree idea?

Looks pretty good, but you should probably make there be a head bone, and then make the mouth bones start a little farther forward, so the mouth will open more naturally. And you should modify the head's texture so that it tiles with the body, and so that it isn't just the same old dragon's head.

And no, Modman, you can't make it more natural, unless you subsurf it(i.e. making it higher poly and smoothing it), which would make it too high poly for Glest.

The head really doesn't seem to match the rest of the body and personally I think the ridges on its back are way overstated.
