I looked on wikipedia, and is says nothing of the sort.
But thanks for the info...Even if wikipedia did back it up, I kind of like the way Wyvern sounds anyways.

All the sources I've seen have just explained a wyvern as being a dragon with no front legs and it's usually associated with death, disease, famine, decay, etc.

This is the wyvern from Dungeons&Dragons third edition, complete with a venomous stinger and hooked beak-like mouth, which looks kinda scary.  I don't think I like its tail, though.  It's mainly just the head that looks menacing.

Sorry, I was away for a bit. (the homework? I've been done for like a week!)
Concerning the fury of the tiki, there's some problems. First of all, 3d animation is not like 2d anim. In 2d, it's easy to make something blink or open it's mouth. But in 3d, it's a real pain (and I admit, I can't do it) The thing is, the mouth, eyes, and stuff is all in the texture, not the model. (Reduces size, poly count, and makes everything easier (and possible))
Rather than opening it's mouth to attack, how about it slightly 'lunges' forward, as if trying to come out of the earth? I'm sorry, but blinking and opening its mouth is a little much for 3d. Opening its mouth in a model of this style would stretch it (I think, I don't know, since its a bit too complex) a mouth like the dragon has is easy, but the FOT is a little tough for that.

How about I upload an example when I get back to school for you to judge? (and I'll test the .zip to make sure it works)

I don't want to sound bossy or anything, but you have to make the jaw a seperate object from the rest of the Fury of the Tiki.
About the blinking thing, you can just forget that if you want.
That's how they made the flags wave on tons of the buildings; they made the building and the flag two seperate objects.

There is a list of the many changes that have been made to Dark Magic in the readme.  You may want to check it to see if there is a place where I gave credit improperly.

I tried this one today.  NIce retextured woman and very good earth snakes! And really lots of very good shots. You really know how to use the particle system!
But its not really playable yet because its completely unbalanced with tech/magic/indian/norsemen. currently dark magic is much too strong.
But I only played it myself and I didn't let the computer play it. Probably I should test this too.

Yes, the balancing thing has been a problem I have been working on.  It seems that an AI always loses as Dark Magic, but when I play, as long as I can get Wyverns (Oh yeh, I have a patch to release that makes the Wyvern quicker to conjure and other things like that)

But any ideas in particular on how I can do this?  I was thinking that I would make the Dark Mage require the Sorcery Runes but give him a stronger attack.  I am also probably making the Acolyte build and repair everything 50% as fast as before.  That way, an AI will hopefully spend a little more time on the beginning game and survive the first attack, which by then they should have several Dark Mages.

Entire books and papers could be written on how to balance factions with each other.  It's especially hard to balance three factions together though...

I think the problem for the CPU are the upgrades!
There are much too much upgrades and this is a problem especially in the beginnig.( and for me too when I'm new to this mod ;) )
Try to reduce these initial upgrade possibilities(needs). By this the cpu will hopefully build more fighting units.

OK, maybe I'll combine the "dark sorcery" upgrade with "cauldron" with a totally new name?  Or maybe with "dark sorcery" as the name.

yes  whatever, But an upgarde should not be possible in the beginning.
There should be some unit producing units(like the barracks)  before the upgrade session starts.

What are you talking about?  What unit/building are you doing the upgrades with?
Because the first building you can do the upgrades with is the Sorcery Runes.
I think I'll call it "magik" or "chaos magic".

Here's the link to download the Fury of the Tiki. However, please try it out in Glest before you comment it. All  media (such as xmls and icons) are included, but don't need to be used. Also, the xml needs a unit requirement/upgrade requirement section, as well as it needs you to add the resource costs for the unit.

The Tiki still rocks back and forth to attack.  Did you keep it that way on purpose?  What changes are there?

*Sigh* There are NO changes. I just assumed that it didn't work for you the first time so I uploaded the alpha.

I'll add the jaw maybe tomorrow and upload it hopefully tuesday. (Though it might not look too good, just a warning)

I just want to make a notice to all that there will be a will be a new Dark Magic update that will incorporate a modders' guide that tells you how to model all of the units I still need for Dark Magic.  It will probably come out in a week.  The download will also contain an update on Dark Magic that hopefully fixes some crucial balancing problems.

Don't bother making a seperate pack. I'll download it from school and put it on my flashdrive to take home. The schools internet downloads at ~100-250kb/sec!
