OK I looked at the model you made Seth, and it's pretty good I think.  But there are two problems: It is WAY too high poly and also, it doesn't look like the concept art.  Did you download the animation instructions?  It should take the guesswork out of all of it.  It would also be nice if it had an animation; anything would be OK (ie spinning variations, bouncing etc).  I appreciate the work you have done so far though. ;)

modman, i don't know how to animate
i looked at the instructions and i think we should stray from the instructions on this model because i think this one looks more evil and dark than the concept model, i have changed the model in case you didn't know
what do you think
i will change it if you insist but i like this one much better

i fought, me vs. them, both dark magic :o lost before i had a small army, a little to cheap if you ask me. :'(

Please explain a little more, but it seems to me that you are misinformed...the purpose of a faction is that it is balanced with the other factions in its tech tree.

i think that has to do with the latest version of glest, it seems to not run magic or dark magic very well at all

uh modman...

do this and tell me exactly what happens:
download the very latest version of glest, with out modifying the factions
add my spectator's map to the maps folder(download for spectators map here in map pack)
you may speed the game up(hit the "+" key to do that)
and run glest like this:

0)human:(magic_or_tech):team1
1)Cpu-ultra:tech:team1
2)none
3)Cpu-ultra:magic:team 2, 3 or 4

don't interfere in any way
who wins?

Please don't do this here. The topic 'is tech stronger than magic' is a better place (general discussion board).

OT:
CPU sucks. Any faction can beat any thing if the foe is a CPU and the player is human. I once beat three ultra techs as magic. Of course, I sweated through that game, just because of the sheer numbers that are attacking me. Of course, magic doesn't care so much about high numbers, thanks to static fire. The CPU controlled magic are weak, the human controlled magic are the strongest ever (assuming that the human in particular is me).

Here's a concept for the Witch, from Atlantica Online.  Just replace the blue with team color, and make her a bit more evil-looking and you've got a pretty perfect witch in my opinion.

I like Archmage101's picture best because it keeps with the theme I wanted to keep with the faction (sinister and evil).  I think I will rename the Witch to the Sinistress because that sounds cool.

But I'm not sure anymore whose call it is whereas the art selection goes...

I think it's up to the Concept Manager to approve concept art and make sure it goes along with what he has in mind for the mod, and then up to the Artistic Coordinator to make sure that all the models and textures are consistent and well-done.
