Look at the drawing, guys.  I don't see any bones or skulls or anything like that.  Its not an undead earth serpent.  I also don't think the ridges are too big.

I think you've misunderstood me.  I wasn't actually planning on making the orcs.  That was just a suggestion for yours.  But maybe after I finish Dark Magic and Tech II and maybe fix up Four Path Magitech...

I think the units should not be fast and cheap, but slow and very heavily armored; look at the images I've posted.  The orcs should also not have any flying units, yet I implemented the ballista for the sole purpose of anti-air.  I don't want Orcs to be succeptible to air.  Their units would all be leather or metal armor, except for the buildings, of course.

I have a few drawings of concept art for the orcs and I'll post them if you'd like.

Well actually its to small for my tech tree thats why i could use the model from my Morgul faction, which is basically the forces of Sauron(if you've seen lord of the rings) has orcs in them, but i could really use some help, with xmls right now i'm doing the models.

As I said, I did the fury of the tiki for you, and it's a might hell of a good model! I also made the images, particles and xmls to match it. I tested it in the normal magic faction and it worked great. All you'd have to do is fix the resource requirements and any unit/upgrade requirements. I'll upload the unit as soon as possible. (Probably mon-wed)

Could you please hold off on doing the Fury of the Tiki for a few days?  I have drawn up a sheet on the Fury of the Tiki Animation and Modeling, and I kind of want it done right.  I am contemplating wheter the Fury of the Tiki is four-sided or not; i'm leaning towards no.  I am also con sidering if the Fury of the Tiki is made of stone or wood; it makes a Tree Walker (whose name I am also reconsidering) so shouldn't it be made of that same material, wood? 

If you want something to do, you could do the Morlock.  This is the Morlock from HG Wells' The Time Machine.  If you want to know what a Morlock looks like, just look at on Google:



Two things to keep in mind when modeling and animating the Morlock: One, that the Morlock is the weakest unit in Magitech, and two, that the Morlock attacks with a pipe.  If you keep that in mind, I know you do fine.

Oh yea...I thought about that idea about the die animation for the Fury of the Tiki; I think it would be better if it just fell apart into dust and a bunch of little pieces.

Puleeze don't make me start from scratch! I made the whole unit, complete with icons and xmls. Tell you what, I'll upload the stuff soon, you can try it out, then see if you like it before you decline it.

I think there's an error with the file or something, because I downloaded it twice and both times I opened it up in the g3d viewer and there was no file.  Could you upload it again?  I know that's a pain because of your internet, so I'll try once more...nope.  Could you upload it again?  Maybe it's a problem with my computer or internet.

the earth serpent looks really cool i dont think the head needs to be changed though
also the fury of the tiki looks like a beast

If you're speaking of the Earth Serpent, of course it moves (you animated it, right?!).

If you did animate the Earth Serpent, yes, upload the blend files and I will gladly convert the files and give you the credit you deserve. (aw, shoot, I didn't include a readme in 2.1 did I?  It'll be in 3.0)

I've figured out what the animations will be for the dark mage.

What we want to take out of this is the skulls, the swirling skulls.  Imagine what the first image would look like if he had his arm stretched out like in the second one with the skulls swirling around over his hand.  This is appropriate since he morphs into a reaper, sort of an undead thing.

The dark mage will not run (I can't see that guy in the first image running), but will walk.  He won't usually need to run away, because I'm increasing his attack damage to about 400.  Usually the only thing I have to run away from is the Imps; they can get quite pesky sometimes.  The dark mage's attack won't be a very fast attack, though.  He will throw a blue bolt out of his hands like an over-the-head pass in basketball.

I also think that the dark mage will give new importance for which you all have wanted so dearly to the Time Orb.  I think that the Apprentice will require a Time Orb to probote into a dark mage.

So...does anyone want to model the dark mage?

I'd probably call him a sorcerer or a warlock, but that's just my personal preference.
