Frame problem
« on: 27 September 2008, 15:40:31 »
I suceeded in installing Glest on windows, but:
Every frame the computer has to build the whole landscape again (model by model).
I must say it isn't bad, it looks nice, but it slows down gameplay a  lot...
And the same with the menu:
first a grey screen,
then the hills apear,
afterwards the trees,
then the units and buildings,
and finally the menu,
then everything disapears and starts over again...

My linux works again but much slower than before, and much worse quality...
And I lost all my mods, tilesets and maps because of some serious trouble...
I've been able to save my desert tileset (I had made a beta package which included latest work) and Wizardry.

I haven't been able to find any backup from most of my "work"
And my windows totaly crashes down when starting glest...

What exactly happened. If you lost all your files, that may be the cause. Glest seems to work fine on windows.
