Anyhow, I do not control the Blender download; I was using wciow's link I believe...
At any rate, I don't know what to say about the Blender link though. It is very troubling!

Also, I cannot put my finger on it, but I hate Internet Explorer. But let's not have this discussion here please!

Ducks is an old mod. I don't want to add it because it isn't even that good of a faction.

I've added some thing lately, and even made a page on moddb, but it has not been released yet.
I am working on a version which is 'play-able' but I'm currently working on quite a few things so this will probably not be released very soon.

I think I am going to delete the grades from the finished factions. It's too much of a hassle, and I think that the grades probably won't affect someone from downloading it. And what do I do if a download is multiple factions? I'll still keep them in order of greatness though.

I'll still be able to get it back with google cache if I really want to.

What do you guys think? Do the grades really matter, or are they more of a hassle?

No, When I downloaded them I didn't even look at the grades... To tell you the truth I only looked at the titles.

Yes remove the grades, but keep some kind of order. The better ones more on top, thats a good idea.
And keep an eye on them how finshed( and playable) they are. Put the mods which are not complely done in a second section.
people that come here simply want to download and play

Instead of the grades, you could put something like: "This faction features all-new models but no new sounds or icons". That's the kind of thing you were grading anyway, but more objective.

YAY!

I've successfully installed the direct g3d export, and then uploaded my blender directory! So it will work once again.

I'm starting to switch my stuff to FileFactory because I'm getting tired of the "File not found" error, or "Servers down" error. Plus, it comes with a free uploading program, which accelerates the uploads.

Yes and no. I read the py file for instructions, and basically did what it told me to. But your tutorial also gave me confidence; I knew what files had to be there, and they were.

But I also decided to do it because I knew if I was going to start modeling, I needed the direct g3d export, or else it would be a total pain in the butt. Your tutorials got me going.

Well, Filefactory has its own app that supposedly speeds up the uploads...

I'll let you know the MDC may be slightly behind in the new mods. A new version of the Glest Guide is coming out VERY soon, and it will boast a lot of new features, with the updated MDC the least of them! The archives also allow you to post articles, so if someone wanted to give an in-depth review over something, or maybe rate everything from their view, that would be interesting. The next MDC will also have sections for other things including the map maker, and other non-mod things, but related to mods (GAM, etc;).

In the future, I hope to XML-ize the MDC so that all data is stored in an XML, allowing for easy automation.

Release Date: TBA
