Hi,
I have a little idea: Cause Private-Messaging on this Board is not aviable and not all here have the same IM or no IM,
I thougth make for the GAE-Team a own Instant-Messagin server with his own IM-Software. It'll took some time, and wee need a linux-server...
But as I sayd, it's just an pontan idea. The advantage is: Better communication / project-management of course

I like the idea of instant messaging, but we can use e-mails instead of private messaging and IRC instead of instant messaging.

Of course. The idea is to ease the communication between the GAE members.
And not just GAE. A special IM for Glest would be very cool, when the game has enough players

mailing lists seem to be a common tool for open source projects. I'll setup a developer one and an announcement one soon.

hailstone, if you are versed in setting this type of thing up, maybe I can give you access to my server and you can admin those functions?  Just let me know what software you need installed and I'll install it and put in in whatever groups to admin it.  Do you have shell access to my server yet?  if not, please email me a public key file. daniel.santos-^-pobox.com
