Absense

Hello everybody.  I know that many of you have been concerned and I apologize for not having posted sooner.  I did become quite ill for a time and I am doing much better now, although I've had to take a disability leave so I'm now on long-term disability and have been severed from my company.  The good part is that I still have an income and health insurance, the bad part is that I no longer have a job.  But another good part is that I wasn't particularly happy with my job before, so that part may be a bit of a blessing in disguise.

At any rate, I got the web site and svn repository back up.  You may be prompted about a change in the SSL certificate or something, but it should be working.  I'm also trying to figure out where I left off on the 0.2.8 version I was in the middle of.  It looks like I was mostly screwing with the particle systems and such.  I'll also need to eventually get caught back up with what Martiño has been doing with the mainline (lua integration, etc.).  I've updated the FPM tree with my working copy and I'm planning on releasing an update to both the engine and the FPM tree as soon as I get it all sorted out.

Thanks to everybody who wrote me in concern and also to everybody who has continued to work on these projects while I was out!!  I really missed working on this project and I'm looking forward to getting to do more work still.

Hi Daniel, glad to see you back and good to hear that you're doing better.

I'm gonna restart work on the FPM now ( I  kinda gave up since going it alone would have meant rewriting all the XML's for standard Glest)

HE'S ALIVE!
Dang, people were even saying you were dead. Thank god you're ok. I do hope you have plans to continue on with the GAE. BTW, any idea what might have happened with mine? It doesn't seem to work for me... (Windows Vista Premium with 2GB RAM, 180 GB HDD, ATI Radeon X1200 Graphics card with 831 MB of memory, Very good for a laptop) Glest runs great, but GAE crashes upon starting up, with an 'access violation'.
Code: [Select]
Crash
Version: Advanced Engine v0.2.7
Time: Wed Jul 09 22:43:22 2008
Description: Access violation (Writing address 0x547dd00)
Address: 0547DD00
Any help is appreciated, and I hope you find a new job (that you will enjoy) very soon! 8)

Welcome back Daniel, good to know you're doing better. You might have seen that I setup a sourceforge project for GAE. I'm not sure how that will fit in now.

Nice to see ya Dan
Hope you're feeling alright and I hope that your situation improves.

When you have the time, if its alright, may I get set up on your server again. I don't have the private and public keys anymore because my computer crashed a while ago. I have an external so I won't be losing anything anymore.

Looks like you might be the major programmer on this entire website. Has anybody heard from the Glest Team lately?
