Blender *.G3D script don't import animation
« on: 4 November 2008, 22:16:43 »
Hi!

I have downloaded the script to import / export G3D objects in blender (on glest.org) but when I try to import an object, animation doesn't work, the character doesn't move and there is no armature :( .

...I use Blender 2.48 on Win. Vista (if that can help you).

glest doesn't has a bone system
and animations are not imported correctly yet. Its also quite useless to import them because you can't really change anything.
There is something imported, but I don't know what excatly and how to use it. But there are definitly no bones in it.
If you want to use them, search( here in the forum) for the original 3ds files
Try Megaglest! Improved Engine / New factions / New tilesets / New maps / New scenarios

actually they import animation, but not the armatures, thats because glest uses shape keys, i can't really explain it, so you'd better take a tut on shape keys.
