Angry Forest (my first map)

Well, not much to say really. Here's the download link: http://www.mediafire.com/?jjze2whnt05

Here's two screenshots:

As you can see, I put custom 3 resources on the map. Omega once complained about that so I thought I could might aswell do it.

Only thing I thing I think I could've done better is the middle part with gold resources so close to each other. Oh well.

EDIT1: 4 years... Since image embed doesn't work, I made them links. I'm gonna search through an old hard drive for this map. Can't be too hard to find.

How do you get a screen of the entire map like you did?  That's really really cool!

@modman: You can use GAE and set something in the ini file ( I think it's CameraMaxDistance to a bigger number ) and switch off fog of war in the ini too.

@ArKabZol: As I said in the chat, the cpu will get stucked on several places in your map. The cpu typical gives attack commands across the whole map and the map should be build the way that the units find there way every time, without getting stucked.

modman: As titi said, I used GAE. I did the following changes in glestadv.ini, line 28 "FogOfWar=0" and line 42 "PhotoMode=1". I used the none.g3d in the forest tileset to make an invisible faction, turned on free camera mode (press F in-game).

titi: Gonna get right on with a fix.

EDIT: Here's the fix http://www.mediafire.com/?bgvydunddnv

I took away some trees to make paths to walk. Hope it helps.

OK I did that, but I can still only see a limited portion of the map.  It's kind of like a step pyrimid that I look through; and everything else is black.  There must be something else you did, right?
Woa, never mind---I forgot about cameramaxdistance.  But there is no variable like that in the .ini !  Is this only in the latest version of GAE?

The max distance should be the 6th changeable variable.

No you just have to press "F" and navigate then with "W" and "S" for zoom.
There is no need to change the cameramaxdistance !

BTW: Please stop off-topic.

I tested it now.
It still has some problems with stucked units, but its ok to play.
Lets see what your next map looks like :)

A good idea is to surround the whole map with water and let it look like an island and please add some more "eyecandy" ,
only big forests look a big boring.

A generally MAP-MAKING HINT
Quote
Please surround the map with the most-used-surface (Radius: 1) and Custom-Object 5 (Radius: 1).
That looks much better !
