Well, I did redo "A Land of Forest" and renamed it to "Forest Lands", but it's 256x256.

I have some other smaller maps, but they're not perfect yet.

What kind of map would you like? I assume you'd want something good for normal gameplay and multiplayer. Something that is friendly, yet challenging and will allow strategy, but will not leave you or your sons hanging. Something that has enough resources, but does not give them all in one place. Something that everyone can play well, and can be used efficently... Now I just need to think of a design...

Oh, and hopefully I will finish Labyrinth (scenario/mod) by christmas time. Think of it as:

i got an idea, i hope someone can make it, 'cause i can't. The Gap of Rohan, Players start at either side of the map, one side (the one to the left) has a vast gold resource, and the other the Fangorn Forest a big forest with lots of trees, between them lie the Misty Mountains on top and the Nimrais at the bottom leaving only a small gap of about 20 cells for players to pass.

Um, can you maybe make a sketch of basically what it should look like? I'm assuming that there will be resources in the bases as well, but a whole ****load in the places you described. The canyon can be filled the none resource (custom 10) so that it can't be entered and the cliffs can be made from big stones (custom 4) on high ground.

But Titi, what do you think? Good idea or bad idea? (Would probably be good for multiplayer)

@modman: where can I download your map?

I'll try and get the latest version fisished very soon; I opened it up, and basically observed the other maps I thought were good and looked for patterns.  I liked the map "mountains" a lot, so I "forest lands" might remind you of it, but probably not.  I also put custom object 5 around all the big rocks too.

But why is 256x256 a nightmare?  I think it would be fun!  I can't wait to get me any my brother's computers hooked up!
