I'm having a problem with my mod.
I would like the second research (heavy explosives) replace the previous research (light explosives).
Now you have to put them next to each other.
Is this possible yet. If not it could be a nice feature to implement.

Also make it possible to replace one unit completely with another (all spearmen are upgraded into pikeman + train spearman becomes train pikeman)

Hey there Idanwin, I'm pretty sure that the engine will not support what you want without changing the subfaction and I'm not 100% certain that it makes sense.  Right now, you have to have them next to each other, but at least you can see the upgrades you've already completed.  I'm open to discussion on that of course.

I'm not sure if your second requirement has been captured in the bugzilla database or not, but I want to make sure that it is.  I would like for this to be possible when subfactions change as well, so maybe you can check to see if there's already an enhancement bug for this and add a new one if it's not there, I don't want this one lost.  Thanks.

The problem is that I am using a whole research tree in my tech tree.
I want the humans to have a lot of researches todo. Aliens will have a morph tree.
Maybe an overlay option for researches.

The simplest solution I can think of is to have your research building morph.  Level one could offer Light Explosives, then level two could have Heavy Explosives, and so on.

and what about if some skill will be available for units only with a certain experience? for wizards fro example
