GAE PROBLEM...
« on: 14 January 2009, 02:35:08 »
hey,
i switched from glest to GAE, but there is a problem with the computer: when i am getting attacked, for example, then my people (who can fight) don't do anything, i need to give them the command to attack, or they will just stand around and don't do anything even if the enemy is right next to them! so i tried to put them on guard or to put them on hold position, but they are still just standing around, and i can't have my eyes everywhere, so when i get attacked and i don't notice it, than my base will be destroyed and my "Defense" didn't even try to fight back.
This really sucks, so could anyone help me please?

This section of the forums is for standard Glest bugs. If you have GAE bugs please post them in  https://forum.megaglest.org/index.php?topic=3470.0
or sign up to the official GAE bug tracker  https://bugs.codemonger.org/  and post them there. Thanks  ;)

I can't reproduce this. I even tell them to stop and then they start attacking again so I'm not sure why it's not working for you.

i just played glest again, and i noticed that it only happens sometimes, the same with the auto repair, the first time it worked, (even the auto attack) but yesterday as i played it the second time it didn't work, and today it worked again! what could it be?

Sorry for my slow response, dannylee.  I'm curious which version of gae you are using and which executable (the glestadv-sse2.exe or glestadv-i686.exe?)  Also, which operating system are you on?  I haven't heard of this happening, but I have seen problems with the glestadv-i686.exe in the past that I never isolated the cause of.
