Chromin Tab, Fission, and Personal Menu,.  They're excellent for small screens because they make your browser take up a lot less vertical screen space by merging the tab bar with the title bar (like in Chrome), moving the loading bar to the navigation bar (like in Safari), and collapsing the menu bar into a single button (like in Chrome).  Unfortunately, Personal Menu doesn't work in Linux for some reason.  Personally, I never understood why everyone tries to clutter up as much space at the top and bottom of a screen when all the extra space is on the sides.  It's like turning a brick into a ribbon.

And of course Adblock Plus, but that hardly needs to be mentioned.  That one should come as part of the default installation, imo.

Here's why:

You forgot crashing all the time.  That's the best part!  Plus, it's what everybody's grandma uses, so you know it must be cool.

Windows 95 and 2000 were the best operating system at their time, and with todays hardware? do you know how fast that is?



The 95 were made to be running on 300 mhzes, watch it on a 2ghz

Well, if M$ kept making operating systems to the same hardware specifications, they wouldn't be forcing people to buy new computers, and where would be the profit in that?

i still ahev a 95, and a 98 actually, but somehow they won`t boot my system 

I guess there are workarounds, but no apps work for them, and those operating systems do no longer have support.

Well, that is ok, but one of the best features of firefox is it's addons...  just sayin'

Yeah, it would be really nice...but then Mozilla would have problems regarding the issues of ADs itself...I think the developer of Adblock Plus had that issue one or a few times already... 

But in the end, M$$ is Crap. Well, somewhat. Not 100% BAD  , I would say...besides, a lot of people still use it...what are the people who use it...losers? _____s?

It should be the future though, they are much more optimized than ANY OS today, i would say it even beats linux, definately beats mac, but oh well..

And i heard Physx from nvidia was Open Source (!), and thats for all their technologies, but you`ll need a Nvidia GPU to run them...could be kinda nice for glest also...

IE is great!!!

Here's why:

-It only takes 1-2 years to load a webpage
-It's easy on your computer, and hogs lots of RAM
-It comes with Windows, everyone's favorite OS!
-It has an E button!!! That makes it the internet!!!
-It's closed-source and has no add-ons!!!
-It's from microsoft, the company who made the wor- best OS ever!!!!!
-I  hat- enjoy using it...
-It's so friggen popular at school, and everybody ha- loves school!
-It's definitely stu- cool!
-And the best part: IE was designed to crash! The crashing feature works perfectly and will make your browsing easier!
-Grannies love IE, so you know IE must be cool!

It is definitely the worst OS.

Maybe 2000 was fast and Win7 is good, but it's still expensive and definitely the most annoying OS in the world.

Linux on the other hand is free, fast, not annoying, they actually acknowledge bug reports, and make releases with new features and bug fixes all the time.

But I guess I would have to say that Windows is better than Mac.........

I've only used Mac a couple times ever, so I really can't say much about the operating system.  The company itself is diabolical as all Hell, though.

Windows is more popular than Macs. That's why Apple almost "fell"...before the iPod and such...
I would like a mac, I don't have one, but I've used one before...
I think it is cool, kinda better than Windows in terms of quality, but that's it...something similar...to like all Apple Products... 
Oh yeah, if someone got a mac, then we could test Glest/MegaGlest with Bruce's class...and have better Mac support then. 
In terms of their company or support, I heard it sucks. Not the worst, but kinda bad... 
Like that guy who dropped the iPhone 4G...in a bar...or whatever 

Win 7 is nice. M$$ wants people to forget about Vista. I like Windows XP and 7 the best...  For the windows platform

Well, I would say at least when they first released it, it was kinda bad...
Umm...what do you mean "without the problems of the OSes"?
hmm... I guess you could kinda do that with triple booting...or like virtual...thing...eh

They suffer from the same compatibility problems with most programs as Linux (notice how there's no Mac version of glest), but their emulator also costs MONEY! They also are just radically different in ways that make them inferior in my opinion. Stick with linux/windows.

I just got Windows 7 on my new machine, and I don't really see a difference between it and Vista.  They didn't even change the icons and system sounds.

In fact, I'd say it's even worse because of the idiotic way the taskbar is set up and the annoying "action center" that pops up all the time telling me what to do.  "Back up your files!"  I don't HAVE any files yet, Bill!  They did improve Paint, at least.

Suffice it to say, I'm in the process of installing Linux as we speak.

Too bad that made movie maker cheap, I also don't like the cheaper version of Microsoft office for vista and 7

Windows 7 is faster, when i got my first xp i was sooo confused because everything was with colour and not nearly as fast as my previous 95.

BTW mac doesn`t have programs, games are incompatible, AND it costs the price of a PC 10x the money.

And whats the problem with vista really? (I may not see the problems, my comp is very up to date)
