Of course he doesn't mention how everyone gets forced to pay a Healthcare tax. It's just more disgusting socialism.
Besides it just makes more poor people. The healthcare bill that Obama passed is simply a terrible solution!

God, that video of the gay guy is scarily hilarious. He goes hee, hee, hee, like every five seconds!

Are you one of those dummy environmentalists? (no offense, but they blew up 1 or was it 2 of our shuttles, and they are responsible for the crappy infrastructure of the buildings destroyed during 9/11)

Of course we don't need alternatives, we're having trouble plugging it up because it's forcing it's way out! We need to get the oil out of that place, and relieve the pressure.

why are you angry and sad?

Yet another reason we need energy alternatives.

we do need alternative and something to plug it up but its getting even more difficult and its already reached land and thats even worse. It can also go through the gulf stream and to New England.

This is even worser than Exon (did i spell that right) thats where this ship was carrying oil in the Alaska or Atlantic area (i can't remember) anyways it hit something and the whole thing spilled i think it was in the 1970's

Okay, so we just had quite possibly the biggest man-made environmental disaster in the history of the world, and the fact that I'd rather it didn't happen again is somehow not okay?  Do you ever take your head out of your own ass long enough to actually think before you type, or do you just repeat whatever bigoted garbage you last heard from Bill O'Reilly and/or Rush Limbaugh?

Saskatchewan, Canada has a very good health care system that the states should base theirs upon. It can be very hard to describe our health system, but these wikipedia articles should give you the drift.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Health_care_in_Canada
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_Canadian_and_American_health_care_systems

A 2009 Harris/Decima poll found 82% of Canadians preferred their healthcare system to the one in the United States, more than ten times as many as the 8% stating a preference for a US-style health care system for Canada while a Strategic Counsel survey in 2008 found 91% of Canadians preferring their healthcare system to that of the U.S.

In my province of Saskatchewan, I've noticed that we tend to prefer crown ownership over privatization. How so? Our biggest phone company is Sasktel, our biggest power company is SaskPower, our biggest energy company is SaskEnergy, our biggest insurance provider is SGI (Saskatchewan general insurance). They are also the best companies and some of the strongest in the province, with the exception of the privatized Potash Corp, a multi-billion dollar corporation which mines and sells our potash, a substance used to create many things, primarily fertilizer, of which we have the richest in the world.

In response to environmentalism topic going on, can someone explain what exactly happened? I know that an oil rig somehow exploded, but what caused this? It seems to me the best way to save the environment is not to blow up oil rigs in the first place, no?

I saw an interview with one of the survivors from the rig, and I think they hit a methane deposit or something.  If we had better energy sources, we wouldn't have to worry about oil spills/explosions at all. :P

Anyway, I think this board is getting a little too political lately, so I think I'm going to withdraw from the fighting for a bit.

Yes, a large methane bubble shot up through the pipe destroying most if not all the valves and exploded when it hit the top. There was an article on BBC about it a while back but I don't want to go looking for it right now. As far as oil spills/explosions it's not really that better energy sources (which I still agree we need) will prevent it. New energy sources come with their own risks too. The problem was that safety regulations, that are mandatory for European drilling but not American drilling, were not present. For a few extra bucks spent on safety this whole disaster could have been stopped at day two.

Wow... That is very gross and odd... While we're talking about smoking, what's your guy's stances on it? Personally, I am completely and irrovocably AGAINST smoking and would love to see it ILLEGAL. I don't care what the economic and tax hazards of such an action would be, I think smoking is very bad and extremely dangerous/stupid.

Hmm, I bought FF XIII the other day for the 360... It's okay so far, but heres a few things I'm loathing about it:
-No level system that every FF game to date has had before. Meaning no experience either!
-Only two pieces of equipment choosable, a weapon and an accessory. This has been far too common in recent games.
-HP is completely restored for every battle. While this is probably necessary for the new (abet, crappy) battle system, it seems unfamiliar.
-No overworld or real choices on where to go. Everything is extemely linear.
-Nearly no optional events, as everything follows that linear storyline.

I'm only in the second chapter, so I can't say all that much yet, but these points are reflected by the reviews that I've read. I can't help but really miss the FF4-9 games. I don't know why square enix is going down its current path. Can't the see that their most popular and best liked games were the FF4-9 ones? Don't they realize that gamers simply aren't liking their new approaches and techniques? Polls that I've seen show people prefer the FF games as their medieval weaponed fantasy counterparts over futuristic weapons.

Are random battles truly dead? Is this the end of FF as we know it?! :'(

Smoking: Yeah, it is very bad...and I would love to see it illegal too, but then like you said there would be a lot of problems after making it illegal, and...I'm pretty sure it is hard to overcome the addictiveness of smoking...I wouldn't know, but I do know a lot of people that do.  :( It isn't impossible, but it's hard.

I'd like to see tobacco obliterated from existence.  I'd also like to see marijuana legalized.  I don't smoke it, but I think people should be free to do so, with the same restrictions as alcohol (i.e. set an age limit, don't let people driver under its influence, etc.).  With some hefty taxes, it would turn from a liability into an asset.

About the Israel attack. The news of course makes them look as bad as possible.

Here's what happened:

The Israelis dropped commandos on these boats using helicopters, the commandos were armed with a paintball gun and a pistol each. The objective was to peacefully take over the ship and bring it into port to inspect the cargo, if the cargo was allowed, they would ship it to Gaza. But the commandos were attacked, some of the commandos were robbed of their pistols, and shot, others were thrown from higher decks to lower decks. One of two of the commandos jumped into the water to get away, and some of them responded to lethal force with lethal force(10 people killed). As it turns out, some weapons were being smuggled.

Unlike the mainstream media, I'm not going to judge it for you, I'm going to let you judge it for yourself.

Smoking......I think we can all agree on that topic........
Except of course there are people like my Mom and her boyfriend that smoke on occasion for some ritual.
I'm for freedom so I could say let people do it if they wish, but now with our sucky healthcare system in place(thanks to the dunce that claims to be president), I don't want to be paying for these suckers to kill themselves, so I say yah, let's make it illegal.
