Unforunately so. My biggest beefs are the extremely linear gameplay and the fact you can only control one person (ie: if my party is set up as a melee fighter, a healer, and a buffer, in one occasion, I might want to focus on strong melee attacks, so I'd want the buffer to make my melee attacker stronger. In a different occasion, I might want him to focus on making the healer's magic stronger, so that she can keep up with strong enemies. You can't control that person unless hes your leader, and then you'd have to pass up your control over the fighter...)
And of course, as I mentioned before, OHKOing enemies sucks... At one point of the game, there is a large enemy that is capable of dealing 9999 damage to your leader, and is insanely fast, not to mention millions of HP. Not sure how to defeat it (if possible) yet. I'm playing FF XIII only in my free time, so haven't quite won yet (near the end though).
There's lots more I could say, but I don't want to spoil anything...
//EDIT: Ok, I found out how to kill that adamantoise now, though the necessary character hasn't learned that ability yet. I've been focusing her on the ravenger role mostly, rather than the saboteur.
