Impressive   , my great great grandfather was an imperial russian general but I'm not from much of a military family :O, I admit my modern equipment knowledge is poor in the area of missiles and infantry weapons, but I still have good knowledge of aircraft and tanks, whatever time period :) :)

In WW2, over a million canadians fought, which might seem small for our southern counter-parts, but with a population of x million at that time, that was quite a lot. Canada also helped spearhead D-Day.

In WW1, they played a crucial part in the 100 days battle.

In both world wars, they joined the conflict BEFORE USA.

I know that US always come into the war AFTER the other countries have gotten their hands dirty, too bad president wanted war with iraq...for some reason...

EDIT: archmage, thats actually negative, and still, the US can make the world unlivable 2000 times, same can Iran, India, China, Mexico, Russia, Japan and a lot of other countries, if there ever will be a war, there will be only the ones starting it being the losers, dragging everyone else with them...

Exactly I said when unwanted, but I wouldn't all blame bush though he was a dumb*** he did not really cause the afghanistan war that is the problem right now, that was a small US force that Obamas increasing for some stupid reason its as if Obama hasn't realized that afghanistan will never be conquered, just look to history, brits in the 19th century russians in 1980.

Isn't it odd what happens to downloads sometimes? I've seen downloads creep by at a couple of bytes before, but I've also seen one jump up to 2MB/s (though that was obviously wrong, since my net could never handle such a speed). Likewise, I once saw a 80kb/s on a dialup (56kbps) modem... Oddities upon oddities...

Yeah, it usually is. Sometimes very weird...
But we all know the limit of our connections... good thing for Glest you don't need a great connection...a basic one is good enough...since it also depends on others...

That isn't the normal speed though...right John?  :|

Canadians are famous for WW2 for several reasons not least because they had some of the best soldiers, except for maybe Australian and elite units in England Germany and US, and they took part in several disasterous or heroic actions, the raid on Dieppe was mostly Canadian and though it failed the Canadians showed great courage, during D-day they got a whole beach to capture and they captured the most ground on the first day June 6th I do believe that they also took part in the raids on the heavy water factories in Norway, and they succeeded to a limited degree though they never permanently put the stuff out of action. The heavy water was being used for atomic research by the Nazis so thats why it was important to take the factory out, Nepal, Bhutan, and many other nations "fought" but very few of them got involved in the fighting, with most countries sending a couple of troops or airplanes to show that they fought, Norway got conquered because of bad allied leadership, In my opinion, I think the most heroism goes to Poland and Finland because Poland lasted a whole month against two of the most powerful armies in the world at the time, Soviet Union and Germany, and Finland because with an army of about 200,000 little if any artillery and tanks, held off the Soviets for half a year before being defeated, worst fighting for major involved countries is probably France and Italy, France collapsed in a month against just Germany, and Italy surrendered before ever being invaded not to mention that int 1940-1941 the British beat a 200,000 strong Italian army with about Oh 30,000 troops, sorry for the long post but I just felt like giving my opinion.

I'm 14. I'm just horrible at history and it bores me. Plus I hate reading very long wording. But I already learned a bit about WWI AND WWII but forgot most stuff about it.

Nah, just that you can learn more with other ways...or so I hear.
Some...not all. Most of them, usually.
Maybe other reasons too...
