What's to stop a very sucidal person from killing themselves if there family owns a gun and he/she has good excess to it 

Dictatorship vs Democracy: Dictatorship only works if you have a good leader, if you have a bad one, you're screwed. Democracy works very well until some idiot(like Obama) get's elected and breaks the rules.

If I can't defend myself, then who is going to defend me?  If the government takes away our ability to defend ourselves, then they assume full responsibility for doing it.  If I can't own a gun, then they'd better have a policeman stationed at my front door.  Also, take a look at some of the countries that don't let regular citizens own guns, and look at their crime rates.  Some of them, like Britain, have significantly more violent crime.  In Switzerland on the other hand, gun ownership is very common, and they have very little violent crime.  The reason for this is actually pretty simple if you think about it.  Who's going to break into my house if they know I might keep a loaded shotgun in my closet?  When everyone is armed, attacking another person becomes an almost suicidal proposition.

What's to stop very suicidal people from killing themselves if their family owns a knife they can slit their wrists with, or a bottle of sleeping pills they can overdose on, or they live near a tall building they can jump off of, or they have a rope they can hang themselves with?  Do you want to get rid of all of those things too?  Besides, if you're really deathly afraid of somebody in your house shooting themselves in the head, load it with rubber shot.  A 12-gauge at close range will still ruin anybody's day, and likely break some bones, but the odds of killing anybody is fairly low.

lol In anarchy, you have no leader.  That's the point. Anyway, any system is broken if you have a lousy leader.  Some just have more checks and balances in place in case that happens.  For example, we've got congress and the supreme court in case the president gets mad with power.  Of course, that's not much of a defense if they're just as crazy as he is.

You're kidding, right?  I don't think you understand how criminality works.  Very, very few murders are actually committed by psychos who just feel like killing somebody.  Don't worry about the psychopaths.  Worry about the drug addicts breaking into your house to steal your belongings and sell them for crack money.  Worry about the muggers who want to rape you and take your money.  Worry about the gang crossfires you might get caught in the middle of.  Worry about insecure men in your life who can't handle their anger and have no way of settlings conflicts except through violence.  Those are the people who are likely to kill you, not some insane serial killer who's doing it just for fun.

Giving everyone full acces to weapons could quickly become anarchy  all you need is some crazy dudes with much respect and then people will start to want power...There are disadvantages and advantages, maybe in the US it is needed with weapons on the street, but i still don`t support full arming of the population...Imagine if their parents got guns and yeah, hell, what a bloody mess...
